In 1965 Arthur Chellingworth established Chellingworth Motors, which remained an authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership until 1992. Following Chellingworth Motors’ acquisition by the Automotive Holdings Group (AHG) in 1988 the dealership’s luxury car presence grew with Bentley (1981) and Porsche (1990) being added to the brands sold exclusively from premises in Mounts Bay Rd, Perth. 

Chellingworth Motors was among the first to be granted the Jeep franchise in 1994 and has enjoyed a successful relationship with the product from that point on, having been awarded "Australia's Number 1 Dealer" a record 7 times. In that time it has sold and serviced Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles from locations in Perth, Osborne Park and Nedlands. In 2009, Chellingworth Motors established a stand-alone dealership dedicated to the franchise, trading as Osborne Park Chrysler Jeep Dodge.
